we are culinary curators
We saw a private events industry dominated by unoriginal menus and unrecognized chefs and knew we had to change it. By collaborating with a diverse team of independent chefs and restaurant groups, we create and execute customized food experiences to take your event to the next level.
We are an all female identifying team building a business based in New Orleans that brings innovation to the hospitality industry as well as supporting the growth and development of independent chefs’ catering services.
My House Social promotes food culture with integrity. It provides a mechanism for small culinary businesses to participate in the industries (tourism, corporate events, and weddings) that have previously been inaccessible to smaller local businesses. Our goal is to curate menus and connect event producers to the right chef.
Our holistic approach includes menu curation, and dedicated on-site management to see your event from ideation to completion.
The food was phenomenal . The flexibility of both the vendors and the My House Social team, was unmatched. Danielle and all the vendors she brought onboard were lovely to work with and can't wait to work with them again.
Whether it was changing the placement of the trucks, adding additional food, or keeping food trucks open when they should have been closed, it was always doable, and never an issue. I never got a "no," Danielle was always able to help remove any anxiety surrounding food.
–Francesca Imgruth, We Work
My House Social was a great partner in planning our event and acted as an extension of our team. They were able to help with food trucks, staff, permits, rentals, etc. to help bring our event to life in a short period of time. Their staff and service was exceptional and we look forward to working them again.
Shane Stanfa, Director of Production, Momentum Worldwide
Thank you so much for catering our NOLA cocktail party this March! You were amazing to work with and we really appreciated your ideas and guidance giving us a taste of New Orleans. The menu you suggested was perfect for our event. Your staff was friendly, knowledgeable and personable. Being in the food industry ourselves, we are often more critical of food and service than other clients, and we can truly say we were blown away by My House Social. Everyone raved about the food!
–The Team at Blackstone Caterers
We brought our team together for our Kellogg national meeting with the theme "Create the Future"...exploring the future of food, flavor, delivery, and the consumer experience. My House Social delivered a unique culinary experience that brought flavor and menu innovation to life for our team. From coordinating with locally renowned restaurateurs and food trucks, managing the logistics, and engaging with our team to incorporate key ingredients and brands, Barrie and the team at My House Social were one of the most turnkey and innovative partners we've worked with. I can't wait to bring them back for the next iteration!
–Wendy Davidson, President of US Specialty Channels Kellogg
The team at My House Social is fantastic to work with – managing all aspects of our event, from securing the venue, rentals, production, and helping us bring in local vendors and partners. The planning was painless, and the execution was smooth. You’re definitely in good hands with My House Social.
–Whitney Peak, Global Brand Manager of Leblon
The team ran all aspects of the event, food and beverage, and DJ entertainment. It went really smoothly, which was amazing considering it was Mardi Gras and the NBA All Star Weekend! I was looking to hire a company who could handle the event and make my life easier, and they delivered. I'd highly recommend My House Social and look forward to working with the team again soon.

I am so thankful that I was introduced to Danielle and Barrie. I coordinate quite a few weddings at venues that do not have in-house caterers. When I heard about their niche for creating culinary experiences through the use of multiple vendors that offer specialty catering services, I was thrilled! They have been a dream to work with and my clients have been able to dazzle their guests with unique dining experiences through their contacts. I highly recommend Danielle and Barrie for weddings whether you're a bride or a vendor!
–Brooke Casey, Brooke Casey Weddings
What an amazing experience! We wanted something a little different for our wedding, and Danielle and her team executed it perfectly. We were able to have oyster shuckers, a snowball stand, AND a pizza truck at our wedding - how unforgettable and delicious. Everything was delectable and unique. If you want something totally custom and unexpected, My House Social will give it to you for sure.
-Whitney F., Bride
In many ways we deviated from the traditional for our wedding, and Danielle was with us through every step of the way. From offering creative suggestions to affirming the feasibility of our out-there ideas, Danielle ensured that we were able to have the exact wedding day we imagined. And she did it while pregnant in 90+ degree weather and a through-the-roof heat index! She's a treasure, and we were so lucky to find her and My House Social.
-Katie M., Bride
Danielle and Barrie are the dream team and compliment each other's strengths perfectly. All of our vendors loved her [Danielle] and felt super comfortable working with her as well. We had some crazy last minute changes and Danielle and Barrie managed to make everything flow PERFECTLY. If you're on the fence about hiring a wedding planner let me give you the best advice of the entire wedding process: do NOT think twice. Hire my house social. You will be SO glad you did.
-Byrd A., Bride
With no contract signed and living in NYC it was hard to coordinate with food trucks and figure out a menu. We hired Danielle 3 months before our wedding and she quickly got a contract drafted and worked with the two food trucks to make sure we had a menu set and timeline...All the guests raved about the food and were so impressed how fast the trucks were turning out food. I never saw more than 6 people at a time waiting at the trucks. Everything was beautiful and happened flawlessly.
–Alicia W., Bride
One of the best decisions we made for our wedding was to hire My House Social. We picked My House Social because we wanted to do something more creative than a more traditional catering company would allow... [they work] with awesome vendors, and the food was incredible. So many of our wedding guests commented that it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding.
-Sarah Comeaux, Bride
[Danielle] and her team made the day of seamless and carefree. Danielle was excellent at playing defense against unnecessary distractions making the pre-ceremony virtually stress free. Our wedding was a total destination and we relied very heavily on their recommendations, they did not disappoint. Their suggested vendors saved us a lot of money and helped make our day run very smoothly. And the food was delicious, which tends to be rare at weddings.
-Sarah Nesbit, Bride
Many of our guests visited some of the best restaurants in town and still said our wedding menu was by far their favorite. Everything about this catering experience was perfection. The service, food, and support was out of this world.
— Krista Ward, Bride
As one of the new kids to the food truck scene, Barrie and her team at My House Social have welcomed us to the local industry from day one. They are great match makers for vendors skills and clients needs and truly want each and every event to be spectacular – for the client, the vendor and of course the guests!
–Karen Case, Old School Eats
